The weekend of October 6-8, Devise Interactive successfully celebrated the 5th Forge54 work-a-thon!
What is Forge54, you may ask? An annual skilled-giving weekend in which hundreds of volunteers work together to give one lucky non-profit a full marketing makeover.
Ocean Institute was selected as the nonprofit this year. The high-intensity weekend had its ups–and its downs, but the takeaway was unanimous amongst all attendees: truly unforgettable. From the stunning facility with an arresting 360 view of the ocean to the amazing catering sponsors, the 100+ skilled professionals had the momentum to create an entire marketing campaign in just over two days.
Because Forge54 fidget spinners are a must.
Forge54 Haircuts?! Ultimate SPIRIT.
Forge54 volunteers were categorized into various teams based on their respective areas of expertise. We had teams for everything: social media, videography, copywriting, project managing, software development, event planning, graphic design, and more! Our very own Randy Lewis co-led the design team, Sohrob Raja led the engineering team on a number of deliverables (including an iPad application and 360 virtual tour of the Ocean Institute!), and Justin Pla was the social media head. Team members worked together to produce invaluable content for the nonprofit’s future marketing efforts, mentoring and learning from their newly-acquired friends along the way.

Collaboration and all love.
But in such a tight time constraint, how great could our so-called achievements actually be? See for yourself. In the the below video, Forge54 videographers capture Ocean Institute’s compelling narrative and trigger an emotional response from even the casual onlooker.
Impressive, right? Be sure to follow Forge54 on Facebook to see what other humanitarian projects we have up our sleeve. Here’s to giving back to the community and Forging Forward!
